The service, sponsored by AT&T, covers more than twom flights annually and uses providers Viasat and Intelsat. Rollout begins with narrowbody and regional aircraft, expanding to nearly all flights by spring. The move aligns with competitors offering complimentary connectivity to boost loyalty. Passengers access it by logging in with their AAdvantage number.

Heather Garboden, American’s Chief Customer Officer, shared “Free high-speed Wi-Fi isn’t just a perk—it’s essential for today’s travelers.”

Jenifer Robertson, AT&T’s EVP and GM for Mass Markets, shared “By sponsoring free in-flight Wi-Fi for American Airlines AAdvantage members, we’re making it easier for people to stay productive, entertained, and in touch from takeoff to landing.”
