
Flight EI59, Aer Lingus inaugural service direct from Dublin to Denver Colorado departed at 15.48, 18 minutes behind schedule, yesterday with Denver Mayor Mike Johnston on board. It landed 27 minutes ahead of schedule at 17.48.
The flight also carried business, tourism and civic leaders who were led by Johnston and DIA CEO Phil Washington. Passengers departing on the inaugural flight from Denver enjoyed a celebratory sendoff with city officials, along with representatives from Aer Lingus, Tourism Ireland and the Irish government. The aircraft stayed on the ground for less than two hours before embarking on its first journey from Denver to Dublin.
The new Dublin – Denver route will operate four times weekly and is served by an Airbus A330-202.
