
Ireland is the fastest growing inbound market into Australia, 65pc ahead of pre pandemic levels in the first quarter of 2024, according to figures released at Australia Tourism Exchange (ATE) in Melbourne.
The ruling annual for the twelve months is 25.2pc ahead of 2019, up to 84,200 compared with 67,300 for the calendar year 2019. Only Colombia (form a lower base) has increased by more. New Zealand, Australia’s largest inbound market is down by 6pc and England, Australia’s largest inbound market form Europe, is down 14pc.
The 2,600 delegates attending ATE were told that inbound arrivals in Australia are steadily increasing, with some countries exceeding pre-pandemic levels while others are slowly catching up.
