Carnival Cruise Line’s latest ship, the Carnival Jubilee has completed its reiver conveyance from Papenburg to Eemshaven in the Netherlands, travelling along the river Ems backwards.
When sea trials are complete, Jubilee is preparing to begin its inaugural season in the Caribbean from Galveston, Texas. Her maiden voyage is scheduled for December 23, 2023, with regular seven-day sailings from Galveston throughout the year.
The conveyance was timed with the tidal range on the river, a hair raising process with less than three metres on each side of the ship.
