Belfast calls for musicians for ‘Busker Corner’ on 7th, 14th, and 21st September

BOOST and Belfast One have teamed up to enhance the search for Northern Ireland’s next big busking act, celebrating local talent in its third year.

Buskers from across Northern Ireland are invited to participate in the BOOST’s Busker Corner, with the competition running on the 7th, 14th, and 21st of September.

The winner will receive a professional recording session worth £1000 and a live performance slot in a city centre venue.

Shortlisted acts will showcase their talents in popular Belfast locations, including 2 Royal Avenue, CastleCourt, and Victoria Square.

Brooke Scullion, BOOST ambassador, emphasised the importance of exposure for emerging artists, encouraging them to participate for a chance to work with professionals.

Lucy Manby shared, “Buskers are the heartbeat of the city – they bring life, colour and rhythm to our streets.”

Callum Craig shared, “This is a massive opportunity for local musicians to grab the spotlight and showcase their skills.”
