The second commercial plot on the former Berlin Tegel Airport site has been released for marketing. The roughly 4,490 square metre GE West 2 site in the Urban Tech Republic innovation park is being offered under a hereditary building right for research, development or production of urban technologies. Interested firms can register for the process until 15 December 2026. The second commercial building plot at the Berlin TXL Urban Tech Republic on the former Tegel Airport site has been released for marketing.
The plot size is approximately 5,000 square metres. The target audience is technology-driven companies focusing on urban innovations, smart city tech and research. The location is part of the growing Urban Tech Republic research and industrial park taking shape in northern Berlin.
The broader vision is for the 500-hectare former airport site to transform into a hub for future urban technologies alongside the sustainable, nearly car-free residential Schumacher Quartier.
