British Airways is increasing Avios and cash costs for Reward Flight redemptions from 15 December.
The airline cited rising Air Passenger Duty, third-party charges, and inflation as reasons for the change. An off-peak economy flight to Geneva rose from 9,250 Avios plus €0.58 to 10,000 Avios plus €1.17.
An off-peak business class return to New York rose from 160,000 Avios plus €437 to 176,000 Avios plus €466. Changes to existing bookings after the deadline incurred the new rates, except for time or date changes.
