Denis O’Brien’s Camiral resort in Girona has been confirmed as host the Ryder Cup in 2031, following the K Club in 2006 and Adare Manor in 2027.

The event is expected to generate economic benefits for the communities of Girona, Costa Brava, and Barcelona in the lead-up to 2031.

Estrella Damm has become the title partner of the DP World Tour’s Catalunya Championship for five years starting in 2026.

Camiral, formerly known as PGA Catalunya Resort, has hosted multiple prestigious events and is viewed as one of Europe’s leading golf venues.

Guy Kinnings, Chief Executive of the European Tour Group shared ‘Today’s announcement not only recognises Camiral as one of Europe’s leading venues, but also the considerable contribution Spanish golf has made to the proud history of the Ryder Cup. We could not be happier to be taking it to Costa Brava and Barcelona for the first time, and to Spain for the second time.'”
