Capella Bangkok named top hotel in Reed’s World’s 50 Best Hotels list

Capella Bangkok has been named the top hotel in the second edition of the World’s 50 Best Hotels list compiled by the produced by the London media company William Reed Business Media, just four years after its opening amid the global pandemic, showcasing its success as a serene escape on the Chao Phraya River.

The hotel features 101 spacious rooms, with unique riverside villas that include private gardens and plunge pools, providing a tranquil sanctuary away from the bustling city.

The awards highlighted strong representation from Asia, with Capella Bangkok joined by others such as Mandarin Oriental Bangkok and Four Seasons Bangkok, accounting for four entries in the top 50, and seven of the top 10 hotels being from the region.

Other placements in the list include Rosewood Hong Kong at third and Cheval Blanc Paris at fourth, while Dubai’s Atlantis The Royal received the Highest Climber Award for ranking ninth. William Reed Business Media initiated the world’s fifty best restaurants list in their magazine Restaurant in 2002. The awards are judged by panels of hoteliers, travel writers and critics.
