Carlow, Cork, Dublin, Mayo, Sligo & Waterford tourism projects on the design awards shortlist

The shortlist in the tourism, hospitality, and leisure project of the year category at the Irish Building and Design Awards (IBDA) has been announced. The five nominees are:

  • Achill Island Greenway, Achill Sound section – Mayo County Council
  • Mount Congreve Gardens – Waterford City & County Council
  • National Surf Centre of Excellence, Strandhill – Keys and Monaghan Architects
  • Royal Dublin Convention Centre – Reddy Architecture 
  • Exchange – Carlow County Council
  • Premier Inn Hotel Cork – Vision Contracting

The awards website says they “celebrate the best of Irish building and design around the world and are recognised as best in class, both nationally and internationally. Judged by peer industry associations and groups, the IBDAs recognise excellence in build, design, people, and creativity.”

The IBDA awards ceremony will take place in Ballsbridge in Dublin on March 8.
