A cruise on the Carnival Luminosa has been cancelled due to Tropical Cyclone Alfred, with the sailing originally set to depart from Brisbane on March 6, 2025.
Carnival Cruise Line announced that the Brisbane area is expected to be directly impacted by the cyclone, leading to the closure of the port.
Affected passengers will receive a full refund for their cruise fare as well as all pre-purchased items, as the safety of guests and crew remains a priority.
The Carnival Luminosa is anticipated to resume its regular schedule on March 9, 2025, with a four-night cruise to Airlie Beach following the storm.
The ship, which has a capacity of 2,260 guests, is set to offer a series of seven-night cruises to Alaska and Canada during the summer of 2025 after repositioning to North America in early May.
