Carnival Corporation has announced an order for two new mid-sized ships for AIDA Cruises from Italian shipbuilder Fincantieri, with deliveries scheduled for fiscal years 2030 and 2032.
Each new vessel will feature approximately 2,100 cabins and utilize multi-fuel propulsion systems, including LNG, to enhance sustainability and operational efficiency.
AIDA will expand its fleet to a total of 13 ships upon the delivery of the new vessels, reinforcing its leadership in the German cruise market.
The introduction of the next-generation ships will be complemented by the AIDA Evolution program, which modernises the existing fleet’s décor and technology.
