Carnival Cruise Line is set to resume operations in Baltimore with the Carnival Pride on May 26, 2024, following discussions with the U.S. Coast Guard, Maryland authorities, and Port of Baltimore officials regarding channel clearance for cruise traffic.
Initially planning to start the cruise from Norfolk on May 19, 2024, Carnival now aims to have the Pride’s upcoming voyage conclude in Baltimore, and is offering complementary bus services between Baltimore and Norfolk for embarkation to facilitate guest transportation arrangements.
Guests utilizing the bus service will receive $100 per stateroom onboard credit as a gesture of appreciation for their cooperation and understanding of the operational adjustments due to the cruise repositioning.
The Carnival Pride’s upcoming seven-night cruise on May 19, 2024, to the Bahamas, with stops in Nassau, Freeport, and Princess Cays, signals the return of cruise operations to Baltimore after a two-month hiatus caused by the closure of the Port due to the Francis Scott Key Bridge collapse attributed to a container ship incident on March 26, 2024.
