Arva Area Development Association has proposed plans to install a walking trail along the shore of Guinikin Lough in order to enhance the town’s public amenity appeal.
The walking trail, if approved, will stretch from Crannagh Bridge to Woodlands Bridge and will connect with a community path at Arva’s GAA grounds.
The project is expected to bring numerous benefits to the town, including attracting visitors, ensuring pedestrian safety, and promoting outdoor recreation.
Funding for the project may be sought through the State’s LEADER programme, with a final decision on the plans expected in March.
