Center Parcs has unveiled plans for new attractions at its Longford Forest resort, including a thrilling Forest Glider aerial adventure and spacious six-bed lodges to accommodate larger groups.
The resort is currently executing a €100m expansion of its Longford Forest resort in Ballymahon, specifically designed to accommodate larger groups and increase overall capacity to 3,500 guests.
Key elements of the expansion targeting larger groups and luxury stays include:
- A new accommodation tier that sleeps up to 12 people, specifically aimed at larger extended families and friend groups.
- The addition of four two-storey treehouses that sleep up to eight people, featuring a private games den, hot tub, and dedicated host.
- The project adds 198 new lodges in total (bringing the total to 693), including 83 lodges already available for booking from early 2027.
- A new lakeside restaurant, a “Forest Glider” aerial zipline attraction, and extensions to the Subtropical Swimming Paradise and Aqua Sana Spa (including a new treetop sauna).
The expansion is expected to create 250 permanent jobs and 300 construction jobs, while contributing an additional €27m annually to Irish GDP.
