Ballymahon’s proximity to Center Parcs has made it one of Ireland’s most improved property markets, according to Real Estate Alliance.
Three-bedroom semi-detached homes in Ballymahon now sell for an average of €214,000, with deals completed in four weeks.
Center Parcs’ €50 million expansion, revealed last month, includes 80 new lodges and a Lakeside restaurant, creating 300 construction jobs and 250 permanent roles.
The resort contributed €58 million in gross value added to the Irish economy between April 2023 and April 2024.
Property prices in Ireland’s large towns rose by 2.2% this quarter, averaging €269,199, with Ballymahon leading growth.
Joe Brady shared: “Ballymahon with its Center Parcs and Athlone hinterland influence is one of the most improved markets in Ireland. There is high demand for both properties in Longford town and detached rural homes.”
