Celebrity Cruises has revealed Janaina Torres as the godmother of Celebrity Xcel, recognised as the Best Female Chef in the World 2024.
Torres is celebrated for her no-waste cooking philosophy that combines heritage with purpose. The official naming ceremony for Celebrity Xcel, featuring Torres, is set for November 16.
The ship will commence its inaugural season in Fort Lauderdale, offering itineraries to The Bahamas, Mexico, and other Caribbean destinations.
In Summer 2026, Celebrity Xcel will begin her European season with journeys departing from Barcelona and Athens.
