China has extended its visa-free transit policy to allow travelers to stay for up to 240 hours (10 days), previously limited to 72 or 144 hours. The extension applies to Ireland and passport holders from 54 countries.

The exemption requires tourists to travel to a third country, irleand–China-Vietnam for example, and NOT Ireland –China-Ireland.

The policy enables travel across 24 provincial-level regions, opening more avenues for exploring diverse areas within China.

A total of 60 designated ports are now available for visa-free entry and exit, streamlining the travel process for visitors.

To qualify for this policy, travelers must have a valid passport, a confirmed departure ticket to a third country, complete necessary entry forms, and pass border checks.
