
Global passenger demand rose 4.6pc year-on-year in August 2025, with a record load factor of 86.0pc.
International demand increased by 6.6pc, driven by Asia-Pacific airlines with a 9.8pc growth, particularly from China (+11.8pc) and Japan (+12pc). Domestic demand grew by 1.5pc, with Brazil showing a strong 12.7pc increase due to tourism promotion efforts.
North American carriers saw a modest 1.8pc international demand rise, with a declining load factor for the fourth consecutive month. Capacity increased by 4.5pc globally, with Middle Eastern carriers reporting an 8.2pc demand growth.
