Ireland’s largest hotel, the Citywest hotel in Saggart with 764 bedrooms, received €53.6m in payment to accommodate asylum seekers and Ukrainian refugees in 2023.
Various large hotel groups and companies were paid tens ofms of euros through Government contracts to provide accommodation for international protection applicants and Ukrainian refugees.
