Closing date is today for the IIrish Travel Industry Awards in association with MSC Cruises.
The awards, considered the premier awards for suppliers and agents in the travel industry in Ireland, will be announced at a gala banquet on January 25, 2024.
There are 29 awards in all:
- 4 awards in excellence in air travel category: Ireland to Europe, Ireland to North America, Long-Haul originating from Ireland, airline business class
- 4 awards in tour operators category: tour operator to Europe, ski tour operator, Irish owned tour operator, long-haul tour operator
- 5 awards in excellence in cruise & ferry category: mainstream cruise, premium cruise, ultra-luxury cruise, river cruise, expedition and adventure cruise, ferry company
- 5 awards in industry service providers category: technology provider, car hire provider, travel insurance provider, tourist board, accommodation provider,
- 5 awards in excellence in trade support category: airline trade team, travel trade team, cruise trade team, trade booking platform
- 5 awards in destinations category: worldwide city destination, summer destination, winter destination, ski destination, worldwide theme park.
- A service to the industry award will also be announced on the night.
Categories for the Supplier Awards include air travel, tour operators, cruise lines, ferry companies, agency services providers, and destinations. Voting is open to all licensed travel agents in Ireland. Owner managers are requested to consult with staff when deciding who to cast their vote in favour of. The following should be considered:
- Quality of product
- Quality of service
- Range of product
- Price competitiveness
- Customer service and ability to resolve problems
Closing date for receipt of all entries is Friday, 22nd December 2023.
