Clydebuilt plans to launch the Dark Island, a residential cruise ship, with its maiden voyage scheduled for early 2028.

The ship features 236 luxurious suites, with sizes ranging from 420 to 2,690 square feet, and will accommodate 724 passengers and 540 crew members.

Designed by London-based Evan K. Marshall, the Dark Island aims to combine elegance and sophistication reminiscent of classic cruise ships.

The vessel prioritises sustainability, aligning with the UN Sustainable Development Goals, and is designed to minimise environmental impact during its operations.

Upcoming itineraries will include an initial three-year “Around the World” cruise and “Voyages of Discovery” inspired by famous explorers.
