Colditz Castle has updated its offering to include an immersive experience through the HistoPad digital exhibition, available in six languages, preserving its special character as a lost place with different eras and uses accessible on site through guided tours or the HistoPad digital tour outside opening hours, admission at 10 euros.

The augmented reality tour of Colditz Castle focuses on its Renaissance Era and Second World War escape stories, including impressive historical events like prisoner-of-war escape attempts through animation, with visitors able to test their skills in escaping the Colditz Glider.

The Leipzig region features various castles and palaces with unique experiences for visitors, offering interactive activities such as medieval banquets, historical re-enactments, and children’s workshops. Castles like Hartenfels, Kriebstein, Rochlitz, and Mildenstein provide diverse cultural engagements and historical insights.
