Cork Airport handled 308,940 passengers in April 2025, up 26.7pc on the same month in 2024 and up 46.8pc from pre-pandemic levels.

The Easter holiday in April contributed to a 27% rise in passenger numbers, marking four consecutive months of growth for Cork Airport.

New routes, including TUI’s flight to Corfu, Aer Lingus’ flight to Bordeaux, and SunExpress’ flight to Izmir, are set to enhance Cork Airport’s offerings.

Kenny Jacobs commented on the growing popularity of Cork Airport, noting that more passengers from the south of Ireland are opting to fly from there due to its expanding route selection and efficient services.

An announced €200m investment by the daa Group in Cork Airport’s Capital Development Plan aims to support further passenger growth and infrastructure improvements over the next decade.

Kenny Jacobs shared; “great new routes continue to land at Cork and this month will see TUI’s new flight to Corfu, Aer Lingus’ new flight to Bordeaux and SunExpress’ new flight to Izmir all starting. The team at Cork is playing a blinder and we’re excited about increasing passenger numbers even further over the rest of this year and beyond.”
