The public consultation phase for the Cork Docklands project has officially launched, marking a critical step towards project completion.
Two open days are scheduled for the public to view proposed changes to the development plan on May 7 at the Clayton Hotel and on May 14 at Millennium Hall.
This regeneration project aims to construct up to 10,000 homes and includes six new schools, extensive quayside amenities, and large sports grounds.
Cork City Council describes the Docklands development as the largest regeneration initiative in Ireland, catering to approximately 20pc of projected population growth by 2040.
The project encompasses a 147-hectare riverside site and aims to foster sustainable and resilient communities through enhanced infrastructure.
