Cork Jazz Festival delivers €50m economic boost to city

More details have been revealed of Cork Jazz Festival which expects 100,000 visitors, delivering a €50m economic boost over 23–27 October.

Headliners: Cymande, JP Cooper, Adrian Younge, Maverick Sabre, Vieux Farka Toure, The Pharcyde. The festival has expanded to 99 venues in Cork, Douglas, Blarney, Kinsale with 500 artists.

Featured Big Fringe free street performances include Brass Band Boat Cruise, city parade. The festival was founded 1978 after a cancelled bridge event, and now has become a global premier jazz occasion.

Fiona Collins shared “The Big Fringe is a big part of the heart and soul of the festival.”

Mark Murphy shared “an Irish cultural institution.”
