
The Star of the Seas is due to complete a series of pre-launch tests today at the port of Ponce, where it docked on Monday for a technical call after crossing the Atlantic. It is calling to CocoCay, Royal Caribbean’s private island in the Bahamas for a test landing.
The LNG-powered vessel had previously visited Cadiz, Spain. The ship will welcome its first paying guests on August 16, 2025, starting a series of preview cruises from Port Canaveral. Itineraries will offer visits to the private island destination, Perfect Day at CocoCay, along with stops at various Caribbean ports.
The Star of the Seas will be christened by Diana Ross before embarking on its maiden cruise on August 31, 2025.
