Royal Caribbean International much anticipated Crown’s Edge rope experience on the Icon of the Seas will cost $90 per guest. Bookings for this ropes course-style attraction are now being accepted on the company’s website.
The Crown’s Edge is described as a fear-inducing challenge that combines a skywalk, ropes course, and thrill ride. It features a suspended walkway that changes shapes and formats throughout the course, culminating in a 154-foot drop over the ocean.
The entire ride experience lasts about 90 seconds, excluding preparation time, which is expected to take roughly 15 minutes.
The Crown’s Edge is part of Thrill Island, one of the five brand-new neighbourhoods on the Icon of the Seas. Thrill Island will also include Category 6, the largest waterpark at sea, featuring six waterslides and other attractions.
The Icon of the Seas, set to enter service in late January, will offer Caribbean cruises departing from Miami. The ship, with a capacity of 5,610 guests, was recently delivered by the Meyer Turku shipyard and is currently undergoing final preparations for its debut.
