CSO reports 292 cruise ships visited Irish ports in 2024

A total of 292 cruise ships visited Irish ports in 2024, with Cork leading with 103 arrivals, followed by Dún Laoghaire and Dublin, according to the Central Statistics Office.

Dublin Port was responsible for 57pc of vessel arrivals in 2024, accounting for 6,760 vessels out of a total of 11,958

In 2024, Irish ports managed 51m tonnes of goods, up 7pc from 2023. Goods received in Irish ports rose to nearly 35.5m tonnes, a 10pc increase from the previous year’s figure.

The new Cruise season started this week with first of 466 cruise ship calls to Ireland’s ports scheduled for 2025.
