Delta Air Lines is to expand its route network from Dublin with a daily B757-200 service to Boston next year from May 26 until October 28, in three class configuration.
- DL 155 will depart Dublin at 10.15am and arrives Boston at 12.41pm.
- DL 154 will depart Boston at 9.10pm and arrives Dublin at 08.30am.
The service will offer customers convenient connections to 60 destinations within North America, as well as Latin America and the Caribbean.
Delta already flies from Dublin to JFK and Atlanta.
Passengers travelling in the Delta One business class cabin will have fully flat-bed seats and seasonal dining options accompanied by wines selected exclusively for Delta by Master Sommelier Andrea Robinson. Business class passengers will get with Westin Heavenly Inflight Bedding from Westin Hotels & Resorts and TUMI amenity kits featuring products by Kiehl’s Since 1851.
Premium economy passengers will get four additional inches of legroom and 50pc more recline than economy seats. Passengers have access to on-demand in-flight entertainment and Wi-Fi so customers can stay connected at 30,000 feet.
Delta’s Boston hub has a number of amenities for passengers, including multiple food and retail outlets. Delta One customers also have complimentary access to the Delta Sky Club, which offers specially-selected food and beverage options.
Dwight James, Delta’s senior vice president trans-Atlantic said “Dublin is the fastest growing EU city in terms of U.S. visitor numbers since 2011, with an increase of 9pc year-over-year, and Delta’s new flight will help support this continued growth, benefiting the local economy.”
Vincent Harrison Dublin Airport Managing Director said the service to Boston will offer additional choice and convenience for passengers on both sides of the Atlantic and the added connectivity it will bring will further boost the already strong tourism and trade links between the U.S. and Ireland.
