The 45th Carlow Arts Festival will run from June 5 to June 9, featuring over 80 events and performances across music, theatre, circus, and visual arts in Carlow Town.
The festival will kick off with an outdoor interactive show called “Pelat” by Spanish artist Joan Català, and one of the flagship events, titled “First Light”, will offer an immersive street theatre experience in a mystical town.
Artistic director Benjamin Perchet highlighted storytelling as a central theme, showcasing a variety of performances including music, spoken word, comedy, and contemporary dance from local and international artists.
The festival will feature live music events at O’Hara’s Big Top, including performances by local acts, indie rock band Basht., and electronic music sets by various DJs. Additionally, there will be circus performances, theatre shows, pop-up acts, visual art installations, and events tailored for children and families throughout the five days.
