
The European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) has advised airlines to avoid flying in Lebanon and Israel airspace, leading some remaining foreign airlines to suspend flights to Israel. Most foreign airlines, including Ryanair until October 27, have already halted Israel flights.
EASA is closely monitoring the security situation to assess risks for EU aircraft operators.
Ifreland’s travel advice to Egypt and Jordan remains unchanged. England’s Foreign Office has updated a travel advisory urging caution due to ‘rapidly changing circumstances’ in 19 countries: Egypt, Bahrain, Algeria, UAE, Tunisia, Syria, Jordan, Iraq, Israel, The Occupied Palestinian Territories, Qatar, Oman, Morocco, Libya, Iran, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, Yemen and Lebanon.
It shared: “Ongoing hostilities between Israel and Lebanon could escalate quickly and pose risks for the wider region. Monitor this travel advice and other media as the situation is changing fast.”
