Eight Just Stop Oil protesters were arrested at Gatwick airport for using lock-on devices in a demonstration near a security gate.
Seven activists entered the airport’s southern terminal and blocked an entrance.
Sussex Police arrested the protesters on suspicion of interfering with public infrastructure.
Just Stop Oil stated that the protest was part of an international campaign called Oil Kills, with 21 groups across 12 countries demonstrating at 17 airports.
