Emerald Cruises completes keel-laying ceremony in Vietnam’s Ha Long Bay

Emerald Cruises has completed the successful keel-laying ceremony for its new vessel, the Emerald Kaia, which took place at MKM Yachts in Ha Long Bay, Vietnam, during the week of December 27, 2024.

Glen Moroney, chairman of Scenic Group, highlighted that the keel-laying of the Emerald Kaia is a vital step in their quest to redefine the yachting experience, building upon the successes of its prior vessels, Emerald Azzurra and Emerald Sakara.

Scheduled for launch in April 2026, the Emerald Kaia will host 128 guests, with 88 percent of its cabins featuring verandas and will include amenities such as an Observation Sun Deck, a larger spa, and enhanced marina facilities with new water toys.

The yacht will provide itineraries to various destinations, including the Mediterranean, Adriatic, Aegean, and Seychelles, with an emphasis on enhancing guests’ connections to the sea and their natural surroundings.
