Emirates reveals adjustments for Ramadan 2026

Emirates has detailed adjustments for Ramadan 2026 to support fasting passengers through timed services and special offerings across flights, gates and lounges.

The airline uses an in-flight tool to calculate imsak and iftar based on position and altitude, with the captain announcing sunset for breaking the fast. Nutritionally balanced iftar boxes go to fasting customers on select routes in addition to regular meals, containing dates, laban, Arabic bread with hummus, chicken items and sweets.

Complimentary iftar boxes with water, laban, dates and a banana distribute at select boarding gates around sunset to align with local times. In Dubai International Airport lounges, expanded menus include Arabic mezze, lentil soup, lamb kabsa, chicken machboos, lamb shanks and desserts such as pistachio kunafa and basbousa. Prayer mats remain available onboard, and ice entertainment features religious programming in Arabic and Urdu alongside the Holy Qur’an.
