AirX Charter raised €115m through a secured bond to finance the addition of over 30 aircraft to its fleet, aiming for a total of 50 aircraft in three to five years.
The current fleet includes 19 aircraft, such as eight Challenger 850s, four Legacy 600s, five Lineage 1000s, one B737-700(BBJ), and one A340-300 with a 100-seat cabin.
The bond, managed by Arctic Securities, was oversubscribed and registered in Frankfurt and the Nordics, following a €29.7m Series A funding round in 2024.
The expansion focuses on heavy jets and VIP airliners to enhance AirX’s position in the luxury charter market.
A previous €29.7m funding round in 2024 supported the acquisition of four aircraft, with plans for a larger Series B round to add 20 more.
Jack Roberts shared: “We’re expecting to grow the total European fleet to 50 aircraft over the next three to five years, acquiring aircraft in the heavy jet and VIP airliner categories.”
John Matthews shared: “A larger Series B round was planned to fund an additional 20 aircraft.”
