Harris Bokhari chair of VisitBritain has joined a meeting of the Tourism NI Board to discuss priorities and opportunities for alignment, including through a strategic partnership. He stressed tourism’s importance as an industry worth £147bn to England, Wales and Scotland’s economy, supporting 2.4m jobs.
His visit included meetings with Ellvena Graham, Chair of Tourism NI, Laura McCorry CEO of Tourism NI and board members. The delegation has experienced some of the region’s world-renowned and outstanding attractions including the Giant’s Causeway, Carrick-a-Rede, The Bedford Hotel Belfast, and Titanic Belfast.
He also held meet and hear from leading industry stakeholders. Further developments have been promised with more to come.
