‘Bottomless financial hole’ – Estonian politicians reject Latvia’s invitation to invest in airBaltic

Aivar Sõerd of the conservative Reform Party recalled that Tallinn had rejected previous proposals from the Latvian government. Reili Rand from the Social Democrats called the carrier a bottomless financial hole.

The rejection has come after Riga revived plans to seek its neighbours’ help in recapitalising the airline. The situation has worsened since the previous proposals.
