The launch in Miami on January 27 received phenomenal engagement and word of mouth from guests, with a partnership with Inter Miami soccer team and Lionel Messi, who named the ship.

The Icon of the Seas is now sailing from Miami on week-long cruises to the Caribbean, including visits to Royal Caribbean’s private island destination, Perfect Day at CocoCay.

Built by the Meyer Turku shipyard in Finland, the Icon is the world’s largest cruise ship with 250,800 gross tons and accommodation for over 5,600 passengers.

Two sister ships, the Star of the Seas and an unnamed vessel, are planned to follow in 2025 and 2026, respectively.
