Federal Airlines, also known as FedAir, has resumed operations on 71pc of its Safari Shuttle network, with seven airfields pending regulatory approval.

The airline temporarily suspended services to unlicensed game lodge runways due to compliance issues with new civil aviation requirements set by the SACAA.

FedAir provides flights for tourists travelling from Johannesburg O.R. Tambo and Mbombela to key destinations like Kruger National Park and private game reserves in the Greater Kruger area.

The airline’s fleet consists of ten Cessna C208 Caravans, four PC-12 aircraft, one Beech 1900D, and two E145s, ensuring varied capacity for its operations.

The ongoing efforts to obtain licenses for airfields reflect FedAir’s commitment to meeting safety and regulatory standards in the airline industry.
