Nine travel professionals from Belgium and the Netherlands visited Fermanagh and Belfast, supported by Tourism Ireland and Tourism NI to enhance local tourism collaboration.
The itinerary featured significant attractions, including Enniskillen, hydro-biking on Lough Erne, and the Cuilcagh Boardwalk Trail.
In Belfast, the group engaged with local history through DC Tours, explored the culinary scene with Taste and Tour, and visited St George’s Market and Titanic Belfast.
Tourism Ireland is focusing on the Dutch market due to ease of access for potential visitors with Easyjet direct flights from Amsterdam to Belfast International and KLM’s direct service from Amsterdam to Belfast City.
Karen van der Horst shared, “We’re delighted these influential Belgian and Dutch travel professionals have had the opportunity to experience for themselves a flavour of Northern Ireland’s superb tourism offering. This visit is an ideal opportunity to highlight ease of access for Dutch holidaymakers.”
