Hilton’s first hotel on the north coast, the Marcus Portrush in county Antrim, opened on Wednesday in partnership with Andras House.
The 80-room hotel commenced operations ahead of the golf event, The British Open, at Royal Portrush in July.
The £11m renovation of the Parnellite-era hotel is expected to enhance the local economy by £1.1m in annual visitor spending and create over 40 permanent jobs.
The hotel features an Asian fusion restaurant named Nemesis and a cocktail bar designed to evoke the atmosphere of snug harbour bars.
The hotel offers complimentary storybooks about a fictional character named Marcus for children staying there.
