The Neville Hotel Group has announced contingency plans to recover from severe flooding at their newly opened €20m Ravenport Resort in Wexford.
Heavy rains affected access roads and the hotel’s facilities. The Lír Spa and Health Club, located below ground, experienced extensive water damage, prompting a closure for essential maintenance that is expected to last at least a week.
Management announced alternative accommodations for spa treatments at their sister hotel, Whites of Wexford, while other areas of the resort, like the Willow Bar, remained operational.
The hotel faced challenges from ongoing landscaping works for the surrounding golf course and has not commented on the overall damage or the potential for future flooding issues.
Phase One of the Ravenport Resort opened in Summer 2024, featuring 49 spacious bedrooms and suites with dining options.
The resort includes a luxurious spa and leisure club with amenities such as a 15m swimming pool, jacuzzi, sauna, and steam room.
Located near Curracloe village and a 11km stretch of white sands at Curracloe beach, it offers an ideal luxurious coastal retreat.
Phase Two is set to introduce 22 holiday lodges by 2026, situated alongside the Curracloe Links, an 18-hole seaside golf course.
