The Great Southern Killarney celebrated its 170th year in business with a gathering of nearly 200 past and present staff members.

Attendees had varying lengths of service, ranging from 1 day to over 50 years, with a estimated total of 1300 combined years of service in the room.

Former management team members, including Conor Hennigan and Sinead Marron, were present, and guests traveled from the UK and Chicago to attend the event.

The evening featured video interviews with current and former staff members, as well as a historical presentation by author Frank Corr, who wrote “A Star Reborn” to commemorate the hotel’s 150th anniversary 20 years ago.
