
Celebrity Cruises has taken delivery of Celebrity Ascent, their newest ship, at the Chantiers de l’Atlantique shipyard in St Nazaire, France.
The Celebrity Ascent is the fourth ship in the Edge Series and will make its debut in Fort Lauderdale on December 3. It will embark on a seven-night Eastern Caribbean itinerary, visiting St. Maarten, St. Thomas, and the Dominican Republic.

After its maiden voyage, the Celebrity Ascent will offer Eastern and Western Caribbean sailings through late April, when it sets course for the Mediterranean for a series of cruises from Barcelona and Rome.
Celebrity Ascent’s itineraries include:
- seven-night Bahamas, Mexico and Grand Cayman itinerary or the seven-night San Juan, Tortola and St. Kitts itinerary from mid-December 2023 to early April 2024;
- The seven-night Bahamas, Mexico and Grand Cayman Holiday Cruise departing on December 24, 2023;
- New Year’s cruise departing on December 31, 2023, with calls in San Juan, Tortola and St. Kitts;
- Nine-night Italian Riviera and France itinerary
