High Court judge denies Ryanair permission to appeal Dublin airport’s €200m tunnel

A High Court judge has denied Ryanair’s request to appeal against the decision regarding a proposed €200m cargo underpass at Dublin Airport.

In February 2025, Mr Justice Richard Humphreys dismissed Ryanair’s challenge to An Bord Pleanála’s approval of the 1.1km tunnel.

The planned underpass is designed to run beneath the crosswind runway at Dublin Airport.

Ryanair, which sought to contest the development approved by the Dublin Airport Authority which Michael O’Leary terms a waste of money who h wil be passed on to passengers.
