Hilton has chosen Belfast for its first Tempo by Hilton hotel outside the USA, having signed a franchise agreement with Loughview Leisure Group.
The Tempo by Hilton Belfast City Centre will feature 144 rooms in a renovated office building and focus on the needs of the modern traveller with wellbeing amenities.
Hilton is already set to open three additional properties in Ireland in 2025, including The Marcus Portrush Tapestry Collection by Hilton and two DoubleTree hotels in Belfast and Derry.
The hotel will be part of a global portfolio of 56 hotels and plans for further openings in 2025.
The first property opened in New York’s Times Square in 2023, and was joined by hotels in Nashville, Louisville and Raleigh, with a further 50 under development in the US. Future openings include a Tempo hotel in Reykjavik in 2027 and a 142-room Tempo by Hilton in Lisbon as part of the MIMA by Kronos development.
Loughview Leisure Group operates four hotels: The Loughshore Hotel in Carrickfergus, Ten Square Hotel in Belfast, Kingfisher Country Estate, and the DoubleTree by Hilton Templepatrick.
