Holland America Line to bring third ship to Northern Europe in 2027

Holland America Line will introduce its third ship, Zuiderdam, to Northern Europe in 2027 to join Nieuw Statendam and Rotterdam.

The Zuiderdam will homeport in Amsterdam, while Nieuw Statendam and Rotterdam will remain based in Rotterdam, Netherlands.

The 2027 season includes itineraries from April to December, featuring trips ranging from seven to 21 days and themed sailings like “Viking Homelands.”

Guests can experience a total solar eclipse and the Northern Lights during their cruises, with educational lectures and equipment provided.

Transatlantic voyages will take place in March and April, crossing from Fort Lauderdale to Europe with scheduled arrivals in Rotterdam and Barcelona.

Holland America Line shared: “Guests can expect Europe’s finest cocktails, curated by award-winning Dutch bartender Tess Posthumus for Holland America. The company also indicated that several cruises will offer guests the opportunity to experience a total solar eclipse or the Northern Lights during the 2027 season. A range of ‘Viking Homelands’ itineraries are curated with The HISTORY Channel’s ports.”
