Hyatt has acquired the Bahia Principe brand from Spain’s Grupo Piñero, adding 22 resorts to its all-inclusive collection.

The joint venture will see Hyatt manage 21 Bahia Principe Hotels & Resorts properties in popular destinations such as the Dominican Republic, Mexico, Jamaica, and Spain.

Hyatt plans to integrate Bahia Principe into the World of Hyatt loyalty program, with further details to be announced later.

This acquisition aligns with Hyatt’s strategy to expand its all-inclusive offerings, which includes previous developments like the Hyatt Ziva and Zilara brands and the acquisition of Apple Leisure Group.
