The Irish Aviation Authority has published its 2025 annual report. Passenger numbers reached 44m across six international airports under IAA control in 2025. The IAA recorded turnover of €46m and profit after tax of €6.1m compared with €1.9m in 2024.

The authority oversees safety security consumer protection and economic regulation. It managed 16 Irish air carriers and handled 2,883 passenger complaints with over €1.1m recovered in refunds and compensation. One fatal general aviation accident took place in 2025 and remains under investigation.

Dublin Airport passenger cap of 32m per year features in the report with ongoing legal proceedings at the European Court of Justice. The IAA developed the MySRS platform at a cost of around €6.5m. Drone operators numbered over 9,000 with 23,000 remote pilot certificates issued.
